What is the risk that i or baby would face if GD values are high?

Iam not an md but as far as I know gestational diabetes arent
treated coz sometimes it just comes with the pregnancy. Blood sugar levels return to normal values post partum. In some cases however it is treated , it will depend on pre preg blood sugar levels, predisposition to diabetes(family history) etc..Seek a doctors advice whether to take insulin.
As for the mother the GD might indicate a predisposition to DM.As for the baby he might be born overweight.
